Wubbzy's Awesome Adventure is a great new alternative from the Wubbzy Storybooks. The app allows children to pick their level of difficulty, easy or hard. Next, the app is helpful in showing children how to play and what every button does.
While using this app I found using the arrows somewhat difficult. It was difficult when I was trying to get the character to move up and forward or up and backwards. To make this problem a little bit better, the app allows you to format the arrows on the screen however you want. When doing this I found it a little easier to navigate the character.
The length of the level seems long enough for young children's attention spans. Lastly, the app offers a direction section incase the user in unsure of how to do something.
Overall, Wubbzy's Awesome Adventure seems very addicting and engaging for young children.
We'll be fighting for the ipad :)
This is a fun, addictive Wubbzy game - and the graphics are very cute. Previously, we have just tried out the Wubbzy storybooks, but this is a great alternative - and thanks, I'll never be able to wrestle my ipad from my toddler again...! Think Super Mario Brothers but with Wubbzy and for toddlers.
There is an easy and a hard mode, so you can choose depending on the age of the player, and 3 levels for each.
One tricky thing to note is that we accidentally put all of our navigation buttons on top of one another (you can customize where they are on your screen) and then could only move Wubbzy in 1 direction. All you need to do to fix this is go to the joystick looking icon and then move them where you want them to be.

I had previously used two of the Wubbzy book apps with my preschoolers at work and was excited to try out this game with them. So far it's been a big hit! I love that it has two game modes and the easy mode is untimed for preschoolers. Also, the controls are able to be customized, so that the arrows can be moved to different parts of the screen to make it easier to play. The animation is nice and smooth and the music is cute. Even though it's a game rather than a book, I can still use it to reinforce concepts to the kids, such as high/low, fast/slow, up/down, big/small, quantity concepts, and time concepts. Overall great app!
